I have a heart for community; for people living, working, overcoming hardships, and enjoying life TOGETHER, but as healthy and whole as we can possibly be. I started writing about conflict resolution because I realized I had gained a lot of experience navigating through conflict for others and myself.

We need tools and guidance to help us navigate difficult situations and crucial conversations when emotions are tense and the stakes are high. Conflict resolution is a skill – if practiced and prioritized, we become healthy individuals, who have healthy relationships, who show up healthy for our communities, and make healthy contributions to those communities.

We are going to disagree, miscommunicate, and get it wrong sometimes – many times! But we do not have to inflict more harm in these moments. Instead, we can put in the work and focus on being our best selves, so that when and if the worse happens – in any relationship – we are not destroyed in the process.

Management of anything can be a chore, including conflict management leading to conflict resolution. But not managing it or mis-managing it is the stuff that leads to brokenness, broken relationships, unresolved trauma, hopelessness, and fractured communities.

Not only do I hope these blog entries help you to manage conflict better, but to manage life better, and of course, THRIVE!

Let’s Thrive!
